LOGAN – Bear River Association of Governments (BRAG) recently concluded a Transportation Survey for areas under its jurisdiction – Cache, Box Elder and Rich counties. On KVNU’s For the People program on Tuesday, Alyssa Cronin of BRAG told us the purpose of the survey.

“It’s purpose is to get the data on how people are getting where they need to go, and figure out where gaps are so they can be listed in a plan for data that other people can use to apply for funding and help bridge some of those gaps. So everybody in our community has the transportation that they need to get where they need to go,” Cronin said.

She said they just finished entering all the paper surveys that they had into the system, so they don’t have a lot of data right now as they are still finishing it up.

“But the next steps after that’s done is it will be put into a paper that everybody will be able to access, if they would like at BearRiverMobility.org, when it’s up,” she explained. “Our last one is currently up there and it will also go into our regions human services-coordinated transportation plan.”

Cronin said that is a document that allows agencies that provide some kind of transportation, or are interested in applying for providing transportation to apply for funding to help make that happen.
