WELLSVILLE – Wet, heavy snow has made it difficult to get through Northern Utah’s canyons. Specifically, US-89/91 Sardine Canyon was closed in both directions Monday morning just before 8:30 a.m. due to multiple slide offs. According to the Utah Department of Transportation, traffic is being diverted to Valley View Highway (SR-30) as an alternate in and out of Cache Valley until further notice.
Emergency crews have been responding to slide offs across the area. Drivers are reminded to slow down and take their time on the slick roads.
