LOGAN — The United States Senate race in Utah is getting a lot of attention nationally, with dueling polls from both campaigns and independent pollsters as well.

Independent candidate and 2016 Independent presidential candidate Evan McMullin is running against incumbent Republican Senator Mike Lee.

Lee is coming to Cache Valley this Monday.

On KVNU’s For the People program on Friday, Cache Republican Party chair Shellie Giddings said she just learned of his visit the day before.

“He’s got some things in the morning, he’s going to meet with some elected officials in the afternoon. The event that I really want to tell your listeners about, is that night from 6 to 7:30 p.m. out at the Snyder’s Barn in Old Paradise, we are hosting with the Snyder’s, we are calling it an ‘Evening with Senator Mike Lee’.

“It’s just going to be something casual; they can come ask questions, if they have concerns, they can talk to him about that,” she said.

The barn is located at 10802 S, UT-165 in Paradise. Before that, Lee is scheduled to be a guest on KVNU’s For the People program in the 4 p.m. hour on Monday.
