MALAD, Idaho — A semi-truck crash Monday afternoon partially blocked traffic along I-15, near Malad. The accident occurred at approximately 3:32 p.m. in the southbound lanes of the interstate.

The Idaho State Police report a 48-year-old woman, from Inkom, was driving a 2018 Peterbilt, pulling double trailers loaded with wheat. She was traveling southbound on I15 approaching milepost 11, in Oneida County.

The rear trailer disconnected from the lead trailer, lost control and tipped over blocking the interstate. The lanes were blocked for 3.5 hours.  Traffic was able to get around the crash using the right shoulder.

There were no reports of any injuries or other vehicles involved.

This crash was investigated by the Idaho State Police with assistance from the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office, and the Idaho Transportation Department.
