WELLSVILLE – Sam Patch Grocers & Sundries, located at 825 E. Main in Wellsville, opened its doors to the public last week. The store offers fresh food, groceries and gas for residents in the south part of Cache Valley.

The store is located just north of the Maverik along Highway 89 and Main Street in Wellsville. It will be open from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Sundays.
Associated Foods said the store is owned by Mike Baldwin of Wellsville and Jason Hurd of Tremonton and is part of their Associated Food Store brand.
Wellsville is the second Sam Patch Grocers & Sundries store, their first store opened in Island Park, Idaho.

The market features produce, fresh-cut meats and household staples, along with what the owners describe as a hands-on, neighborly approach to customer service. The company also has Chevron fuel station so customers and others can fill their tanks with gas before or after their visit to the store.
The store is just shy of 20,000 square feet on a 4.25-acre site following the trend of new grocery stores across the country opting for a smaller footprint.
