LOGAN– Rocky Mountain Veterans Center will honor Utah’s fallen military at their annual “Heroes Tribute” kick off with a banquet on Friday Aug 22, at the Riverwoods Conference Center.  The Heroes Tribute weekend will continue Saturday and Sunday August 23 and 24. All proceeds from the banquet will go to support the important work of helping local veterans.

The Riverwoods Conference Center is located at 615 Riverwoods Parkway. This year, the banquet will be a tribute to all who have given the ultimate sacrifice. Guests will be greeted by a display of American and other flags generously provided by Hyrum City.

Dr. Craig Jessop, a veteran and distinguished former Director of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and former Dean of the Cain College of the Arts has agreed to be the guest speaker. He will join local leaders in honoring Utah’s fallen military and local Gold Star Families.

Tickets for the banquet will cost $100 per seat and can be purchased online at https://www.zeffy.com/ticketing/ride-for-the-fallen-and-heroes-tribute-weekend. All proceeds from the banquet go to support local veterans.

The Ride for the Fallen motorcycle ride will be held on Saturday morning, August 23, to Elk Ridge Park, located at 1190 East 2500 North in North Logan.

Registration for the ride and breakfast will begin at 8 a.m., with the Heroes Tribute Program at 9:30 a.m. and “Kick Stands Up” at 10 a.m. The ride will follow a beautiful flag-lined route, passing by the Michael Allred home and gravesite.

Due to Logan Canyon construction, the route will no longer go to Bear Lake but will instead follow an alternate route that loops through picturesque Cache Valley.

Ride registration is available online at https://www.zeffy.com/ticketing/ride-for-the-fallen-and-heroes-tribute-weekend or the day of the event. The cost is $25 for drivers and $10 for passengers.

Ride shirts are available for $20, and lunch after the ride is $10. Proceeds from the ride support the Lance Corporal Michael J. Allred Scholarship Foundation. Breakfast and lunch are generously provided by the Michael Allred & Dan Gyllenskog Families.

The Heroes Tribute weekend concludes on Sunday, August 24, with a patriotic devotional at 7 p.m. at Elk Ridge Park. The devotional will feature a special tribute to Utah’s fallen, musical performances, and a sacred flag ceremony. The event is open to the public and serves as a powerful conclusion to a weekend of remembrance and honor.
