LOGAN – Craig Adams began his career as a financial advisor approximately 27 years ago and on Wednesday he cut the ribbon on his firm’s new office building at 701 South Main, Suite #400 in Logan. Adams Wealth Advisors occupies the top floor of the four-story office complex on the south end of Logan and hosted its clients, city officials and the community to tour its new offices.

“It’s been awesome!” Adams exclaimed about the new space and growth of his company. “The people of Cache Valley and Northern Utah have been awesome to support us, as well, as we’ve tried to help them meet their goals and continue to facilitate what their hopes are for their future.”

The 1600 square foot office space features offices, conference rooms, and other gathering spaces to host large families, staff training and client receptions. Besides growing into a new space, the firm has grown its number of employees as well, employing 25 full-time in Logan and two in St. George.

“For a growth perspective, in the last four months we’ve hired five employees,” said Scott Hamblin, Human Resources and Senior Executive Associate at Adams Wealth Advisors. “It’s really starting to expand our financial planning offering, our investing offering. That’s where we’ve really bulked up a lot of our employees.”

Adams said it has been exciting to see his company grow while retaining great talent from Cache Valley and Northern Utah, while also attracting talent to Cache Valley from other areas of the country.

Chief Investment Officer and Managing Director of Investment Management and Technology Cormac Murphy came to Adams Wealth Advisors approximately two years ago after spending time managing a substantial portfolio with Charles Schwabb.

“(That’s) a massive company with tons and tons of people,” Murphy exclaimed. “So to move to a dynamic, rapidly growing company was just amazing. It’s been really exciting and I think the new building is a sign of just how fast we’ve taken off.”

Adams referred to the new offices as “purpose-built space.”

“We just really wanted to expand into a space that would allow us to be able to grow with the times and grow with our offerings,” he explained. “One area that we’re very proud of is we have a tech department that we’ve added on.

“We’re adding a whole tech offering for our clients to be able to help them understand more about the markets, understand more about what their goals are and needs are. It’s been really fun to look forward and build this with a forward perspective in mind.”

Murphy said it is unique to have a firm of this type in Cache Valley, and it speaks to the leadership of Adams.

“We’re this great size where we’ve got enough breadth to really cover a lot of areas and produce very high quality work,” Murphy said. “But we’re also small enough that there’s fantastic integration and communication throughout the firm which really drives amazing client results.”

Adams said the project took nearly two-and-a-half years to complete because of supply chain delays related to the COVID-19 pandemic.
