BRIGHAM CITY – The Republican Women of Box Elder County have announced the details of their upcoming schedule of debates for political candidates.

A meet and greet for the candidates seeking the the seat on the Box Elder County Commission in November will be held at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Mar. 7 at the Brigham City campus of Utah State University.

The local candidates participating in that event will include Rodney Benntt, Tyler Vincent, Stan Summers, Steven Zollinger, Dusty Hootie Roche and Sam McMurdie.

All of those candidates are in the running for Seat C on the Box Elder County Commission.

The Republican Women have also slated a meet and greet for the candidates seeking to replace outgoing Sen. Mitt Romney (R- UT).

That event will also take place at the USU Brigham City campus on Friday, Mar. 29 at 6 p.m.

Attending that gathering will be candidates Trent Staggs, Corolyn Phippen and Brent Hatch, as well as former Utah House Speaker Brad Wilson and U.S. Rep. John Curtis (R-UT).

The USU Campus in Brigham City is located at 989 S. Main Street.
