An active shooter has been reported at the sheriff’s office in Shoshone County, Idaho, authorities said.

Multiple agencies responded to shots fired in and around the Shoshone County Sheriff’s Office in Wallace, law enforcement sources told ABC News.

The armed suspect was barricaded in the building and SWAT responded, according to the sources. It is unknown if there are any injuries or fatalities, the sources said.

The Mineral County Sheriff’s Office said Friday it is “sending reinforcement to help our neighbor” following “accurate” reports of an active shooter at the Shoshone County Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities in Mineral County urged people to stay out of the downtown area in Wallace if possible.
