CACHE VALLEY – U.S. Rep. Blake will host a Telephone Town Hall for his 1st Congressional District constituents on Thursday, Nov. 20.
The question and answer session from Washington D.C. is set for 12 p.m. Mountain Time.
“A lot has happened in the past week,” Moore explains. “So I’m looking forward to discussing those events in our telephone town hall.”
The big news from Capitol Hill was, of course, the House and Senate action to reopen the federal government on Nov. 12, after a historic 43-day shutdown.
Also in the past week, Moore introduced two new bipartisan legislative proposals.
The first of those, dubbed the Health Accelerating Consumer’s Care by Expediting Self-Scheduling (ACCESS) Act aims to facilitate the ability of Medicare and Medicaid patients’ to use online booking platforms for their health services.
The second proposal is the Promoting Physical Activity for Americans Act to encourage active and healthier lifestyles by establishing reliable guidelines on healthy standards for physicians, lawmakers, educators and the public.
Moore is hoping that constituents with questions will call in during the noon hour on Thursday by dialing 833-305-1678.
“I will provide an update on the current state of play in Washington and answer your questions,” the congressman promises.
