TREMONTON — Extra police officers will be at Bear River High School and Bear River Middle School Monday after law enforcement report they recently received “several potential threats.”

The Tremonton Garland Police Department shared on social media Sunday night that the threats were made at the local high school and middle school recently.

The statement explained that law enforcement is currently investigating and taking precautions to keep the schools safe.

They added that parents have been informed, and schools are remaining in session as normal.

The investigation is ongoing and details were not initially released.

The post concluded, “Please know that the safety of students and faculty is our top priority and we are working closely with school administrators to ensure a safe and secure environment.”
