Happy Thanksgiving everyone! There are a lot of things to be thankful for this time of year…including amazing events in beautiful Cache Valley!

NOVEMBERFEST

A Thanksgiving weekend tradition continues with Novemberfest. Over 70 vendors and artisans will be at the Riverwoods Conference Center Friday and Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day. Santa will also be making a visit.

NUTCRACKER

Cache Valley Civic Ballet performs the classic Christmas tale of the Nutcracker, this Friday, Saturday and next Monday. Performances at the Ellen Eccles Theatre are Friday and Saturday at 1:30 p.m., and Saturday and Monday evenings at 7:30 p.m.

LOGAN TREE LIGHTING CEREMONY AND CHRISTMAS PARADE

A new tradition gets started this weekend in Historic Downtown Logan: a tree lighting ceremony and Christmas parade down Center Street. The celebration will also include a ribbon cutting for the new Center Street arch. The main events take place Saturday between Main Street and 100 West on Center Street, starting at 4 p.m.

ZOOTAH ZOO LIGHTS

Come see Santa’s reindeer at Zootah’s Zoo Lights, starting Saturday at 5 p.m. Enjoy the lights, see the new animals, and get your picture taken with Santa and his reindeer. Zoo Lights continue through December 23rd.

IDAHO FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS

There are some great events in Preston this Saturday, too, with the Idaho Festival of Lights. Live entertainment and a variety show will take place at Preston High School from 12:15-2:45, the Bed Race down State Street begins at 3, a free movie will be shown in the Worm Creek Opera House at 4, then the evening will conclude with fireworks at 6:30, followed by the lighted parade.
