
Nila Vanee Lind Partington born May 10, 1940 in Brigham City, Utah. Nila was raised in Lynn, Utah and also in Unity, Idaho. She was a member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She graduated from Burley High School in 1958. She attended Cosmetology School in Salt Lake City, Utah. Later, she moved to Logan, Utah and attended Utah State University majoring in early childhood. She met her companion, Kay Blaine Partington and were married in Evanston Wyoming on September 7, 1963. She had a passion for serving in the church, sewing, cooking, canning gardening, and most importantly caring for her children and grandchildren. They were her world and her everything. Nila also worked as a lunch lady at Hillcrest Elementary along with serving in the Logan Temple. Nila passed away peacefully on January 4, 2024.
Nila’s legacy of positivity and love for her family will live on and be dearly missed. Nila’s surviving family are her four daughters Teresa (Lee) Bowman, Salt Lake City, Utah; Brenda Erickson, Burley, Idaho; Michelle (Britton) Banham, Garden City, Utah; Jennifer (Apostolos)Theophilou, Nibley, Utah, along with 15 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She is survived with siblings Anita (Larry) Frazier, Burley, Idaho; Elden (Melba Jean) Lind, Declo, Idaho.
She is also preceded in death by her husband Kay Blaine Partington, siblings Amy (Bill) Babbitt, Oakley, Idaho, Lucille (Ray) Firth, Paul, Idaho and parents Raymond and Mildred Lind, Declo, Idaho.
