LOGAN — A 24-year-old Mendon man has been arrested and charged with allegedly downloading child pornography. Dylan Ray Wood was briefly booked Monday, Sept. 16 into the Cache County Jail.
Later in the afternoon, Wood made an initial appearance in Logan’s 1st District Court. He was charged with 54 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, a second-degree felony; and two counts of dealing in material harmful to a minor, a third-degree felony.
The crimes reportedly occurred around March 2024.
Judge Angela Fonnesbeck told Wood she would allow him time to hire an attorney. She ordered him to appear again in court Oct. 28.
Wood is currently out of jail on pretrial release. He could face more than 15 years in prison, if convicted.
Individuals arrested and charged in complaints are presumed innocent unless or until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in court.
