LOGAN – The Lyric Repertory Company is offering its audience members a chance to revisit its 2024 seasons shows for less than half the original ticket price.

“We’ve had a lot of (audience members) express an interest in returning to see shows for a second time this summer,” says Richie Call, the Lyric’s artistic director.

If you have seen the performing arts company’s ongoing production of Shear Madness – a comic mystery that has the potential to end three different ways depending on audience response you know what has sparked that interest.

“Without giving too much away,” Call explains, “we especially know why this would be interesting for those of you who would like to see multiple performances of Shear Madness.

“With that in mind, we are now re-introducing our Encore Ticket.”

The regular season ticket price for the Lyric Repertory Company’s current season ranges from $38 to $48 per seat. But the discounted Encore Ticket price will be only $18 each.

The idea, according to Call, is that anyone who has purchased tickets to one of the Lyric’s four mainstage plays – Sh-Boom!, Hay Fever, Driving Miss Daisy or Shear Madness – will be eligible to see those shows again for just $18.

There’s another good reason to see Shear Madness again, Call emphasizes. That’s because the show’s director – Utah State University professor Michael Shipley – will be replacing Equity actor Brandon Foxworth in the key role of Tony Whitcomb for the remainder of the show’s run.

“No need to save your ticket stub,” Call says. “Just visit the box office, where they will be able to look up names in the system.”

Audience members who used a Lyric Flex Pass to see any of the 2024 shows the first time are also eligible to purchase Encore Tickets for the discounted price.

“We hope to see you in the theatre…again,” the director says.
