LOGAN – The Logan River Golf Course has been named as the best public facility of its kind in Utah by GolfPass.

The sports website hailed the Logan River Golf Course as “a hidden gem in northern Utah,” praising its short but demanding target style layout.

The local public course was also cited for its outstanding condition, with nice greens and extremely thick rough.

That ranking of the top ten public golf courses in Utah was complied by Jason Scott Deegan and Tim Gavrich for GolfPass.

Deegan has reviewed and photographed more than 1,100 courses and written about golf destinations in 25 countries for some of the golf industry’s biggest publications.

Gavich is a senior writer for GolfPass.

Other golf courses in their top ten listing in order are Eaglewood Golf Course in North Salt Lake at Number 2; the Black Desert Resort in Ivins at Number 3; Sky Mountain Golf Course in Hurricane at Number 4; Sand Hollow Golf Resort, also in Hurricane, at Number 5; the Barn Golf Course in Pleasant View at Number 6; Gladston Golf Course in Payson at Number 7; the Thanksgiving Point Golf Course in Lehi at Number 8; the Coral Canyon Golf Course in Washington County at Number 9; and the Oquirrh Hills Golf Course in Tooele at Number 10.

The Logan River Golf Course was selected as Utah’s best by Golfers’ Choice, which publishes a series of annual lists that rank the top golf courses in the United States and other countries based on reviews from the GolfPass website community.

The lists are consumer-driven and are intended to highlight the courses that are most important to recreational golfers.
