LOGAN – Intermountain Logan Regional Hospital was recognized and ranked by U.S. News & World Report as a top provider nationwide for maternity care.
“We’re incredibly proud of our team of OB-GYN physicians, certified nurse midwives, women and newborn nurses, lactation consultants, care managers, and social workers who come together with a shared passion to provide high-quality maternity care and ensure the well-being of mothers and babies,” said Brandon McBride, president and CEO of Intermountain Logan Regional Hospital. “This accolade reflects our commitment to nurturing and safeguarding the precious journey of motherhood and newborn life.”
Each year, U.S. News & World Report does an annual study where it evaluates 817 hospitals in the United States. Half of those are recognized for 2025 as “Best Hospitals for Maternity Care.” Logan Regional Hospital is one of those 400+ hospitals.
“These hospitals demonstrate significantly lower C-section rates and severe unexpected newborn complications compared to hospitals not recognized by U.S. News,” said Jennifer Winston, Ph.D., health data scientist at U.S. News.
U.S. News & World Report has named Intermountain Logan Regional Hospital among their 2025 High Performing Hospitals for Maternity Care. This is the highest award a hospital can earn as part of U.S. News’ Best Hospitals for Maternity Care annual study.
Since 2021, U.S. News has evaluated maternity care in hospitals that provide labor and delivery services.
Logan Regional Hospital earned the recognition when considering factors like, “severe unexpected newborn complication rates, birthing-friendly practices and transparency on racial/ethnic disparities, among other measures,” according to a news release.
