LOGAN — A 64-year-old man was hospitalized after being injured while using a trencher at a home in the Island neighborhood, according to law enforcement. The accident was reported Wednesday morning.
Logan City Police Capt. Shand Nazer said the man was accidentally injured while using the trencher in the yard of the home. The victim sustained serious injuries to both legs.
Police and paramedics responded to the home. They treated the man and transported him by ambulance to Logan Regional Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The man’s identity was not released.
Nazer said the incident appears to be accidental.
