LOGAN — A 34-year-old Logan man has been arrested and charged with allegedly kidnapping a woman and forcing her to drive him to Salt Lake City, according to law enforcement. Carson Jacob Warr was booked Wednesday into the Cache County Jail.

According to an affidavit of probable cause, Logan City Police officers received a delayed domestic dispute call earlier this month. The alleged victim claimed she was at Warr’s residence on May 25, when he allegedly began yelling at her about money. He reportedly pushed her into a kitchen counter, fracturing one of her ribs.

The woman told police, Warr took her phone and keys, forcing her to drive him to Salt Lake City. He then allegedly had her withdraw $140 from an ATM, and took the money from her.

Police noted medical records and doctor statements confirmed the alleged victim’s injuries. They also located bank statements and security footage, showing the woman withdrawing the cash.

Warr was arraigned Friday in Logan’s 1st District Court during a virtual hearing, appearing by web conference from jail. He was charged with aggravated kidnapping and aggravated robbery, both first-degree felonies; and aggravated assault, a second-degree felony.

Warr was ordered by Judge Spencer Walsh to remain in jail and appear again in court August 4. He could face up to life in prison, if convicted.
