LOGAN — A Logan couple has been arrested and charged with allegedly burglarizing a Providence home Friday. Thomas Elliott Arzon, 37, and Lenzie Null, 36, were booked into the Cache County Jail after deputies tracked them to a Logan apartment complex.

According to an arrest affidavit, Cache County Sheriff’s deputies received a 911 call Friday of a burglary in progress. The complainant reported an unknown adult white male was in their mother’s room going through items, trying to take jewelry and ammo.

The Providence homeowners had a working security system. It captured video of a white male walking to the front door, then going to the back of the home and entering through a door in the garage.

The homeowners reported a white pillowcase with lace was missing from the master bedroom. A large amount of cash in large bills, many different coins, jewelry and a silver laptop were also reported taken.

Deputies identified a black Mazda with a spoiler on the trunk, seen on security footage at the end of the home’s driveway. An adult white female could be seen in the car as the male suspect exited the home, got inside and drove away.

Shortly after, law enforcement located the suspect’s vehicle at an apartment complex in Logan, less than a mile from the victim’s home. The man and woman, later identified as Arzon and Null, were found hiding under a bridge less than two blocks away.

Deputies obtained a warrant to search the suspect’s apartment. Inside they found a laptop and pillowcase, matching the stolen items. Arzon also had coins, jewelry and a large amount of cash in his pockets.

Law enforcement located a backpack, containing marijuana and a small amount of white crystal like substance. Multiple small bags, a digital scale and other drug paraphernalia were found.

Arzon admitted to using methamphetamines but denied involvement with the burglary. He claimed a friend had come to his apartment, gave him a backpack with the stolen items and then left.

Null also admitted to using methamphetamines and marijuana. She claimed, she and Arzon had been driving around throughout the day.

The two were arrested after deputies located several items of clothing that matched video footage from the burglary. Both were arraigned Monday afternoon in 1st District Court, charged with burglary, drug possession, obstructing justice and other crimes.

Individuals arrested and charged in complaints are presumed innocent unless or until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in court.
