LOGAN – The Parks and Recreation Department of Logan City will host Junior Golf Camps for youngsters this summer at the Logan River Golf Course.

City officials say that the adult-assisted golf camps will be open to kids ages 4 to 14. Those sessions will focus on teaching youngsters the fundamental of golf, including putting, chipping, driving and course etiquette.

No experience is necessary to participate in the Junior Golf Camps.

Each camp will offer three days of instruction, with sessions scheduled to begin at 8 a.m., 9 a.m., 10 a.m. and 11 a.m.

The U.S. Open Camp will be held June 17 to 19; the British Open Camp is slated for July 8 to 10; and the FedEx Cup Camp will be offered from Aug. 5 to 7.

Registration for the U.S. Open Camp is now open. Registration for the British Open Camp will open at 7 a.m. on June 19. Registration for the FedEx Cup Camp will open at 7 a.m. on July 10.

The registration periods for each of the golf camps will remain open until the camp is full.
