LOGAN — The 2024 Utah Legislative session is over, and how do the bills that were passed impact Cache Valley?

That will be explored at the next meeting of the League of Women Voters – Tuesday evening at 7p.m..

On KVNU’s For the People program on Monday, Kendra Penry from the Cache Valley chapter said to bring your questions to the event.

“Everyone is welcome and we hope they will come because it is intended to be a chance for you to ask questions or to find out what happened to a bill you were following. Or find out about a bill you didn’t even know was happening but is going to affect your life this year,” she explained.

Penry said sitting in on last year’s post-legislative meeting was an eye-opener for her hearing an update on things she didn’t even know the legislature was considering. She told us more about the event.

“We meet at the First Presbyterian Church (178 W. Center St) here in Logan, in their Fellowship Hall which is in the basement. Our speaker is Karina Brown, who does a fantastic job both for the county, but also, just, in general, speaking and helping us understand things better. We plan for it to be about an hour or so, of course we may go a little longer, a little shorter depending on what questions are being asked.”

You can follow the League of Women Voters- Cache Valley on Facebook for more details.
