BOX ELDER COUNTY, Utah — An active wildfire estimated between 300 and 320 acres is burning west of Bear River City and Corinne, according to Box Elder County fire officials.
Fire crews are on the scene battling the Little Mountain Fire. To allow emergency vehicles unimpeded access to the area, officials closed the Box Elder County Landfill for the remainder of Thursday, Aug. 20.
Authorities are instructing members of the public to stay clear of the immediate vicinity so firefighters can operate safely. Officials also issued a critical safety directive prohibiting the operation of drones anywhere near the fire area.
