SALT LAKE CITY — The Utah Board of Higher Education appointed Lisa Moon as interim president of Bridgerland Technical College on Tuesday. Moon, the college’s current executive vice president and chief instructional officer, will assume her new role July 1.
She succeeds K. Chad Campbell, who is retiring after more than four decades in Utah’s technical education system, including 11 years as president of the college. The board will conduct a formal search for a permanent leader while Moon serves in the interim role.
Moon brings 26 years of technical education experience to the position, having held leadership roles spanning health sciences, instructional programs, student services, and facilities planning. She also previously chaired the Utah System of Higher Education Chief Instructional Officers.
“Lisa Moon understands what Bridgerland Technical College means to its students and the Bear River Region,” said Amanda Covington, chair of the Utah Board of Higher Education. “Her hands-on experience and existing relationships with students, educators, administrators, and community leaders will ensure steady momentum and consistency during this transitional period.”
Moon said she is committed to providing stability for the institution during the transition.

Highly active in regional leadership, Moon serves on the Cache Valley Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and the Cache Valley Hospital Board of Trustees. She earned a master’s degree in nursing from the University of Utah and a bachelor’s degree from Weber State University.
Headquartered in Logan with a satellite campus in Brigham City, the college offers more than 40 career-oriented certificates designed for immediate employment or university transfer pathways.
