LOGAN — A 32-year-old Lewiston woman faces multiple domestic violence charges, including two felonies, after allegedly threatening a woman’s life, biting her finger, and causing thousands of dollars in property damage during a domestic dispute early Friday morning. Serena Dreycz Frazier was arrested Sept. 25 and booked into the Cache County Jail.
Frazier made an initial appearance Monday afternoon in Logan’s 1st District Court, appearing by web conference from jail. She was charged with property damage, a second-degree felony, aggravated assault, a third-degree felony, and damage to a communication device, a class B misdemeanor. All three charges carry domestic violence designations.
According to an affidavit of probable cause, Cache County Sheriff’s deputies initially responded to a report of a domestic dispute at a residence in Lewiston. En route, officers learned the alleged victim had fled the scene and driven to a Maverik gas station in nearby Richmond to call 911.
When a deputy met the alleged victim at the gas station, the woman was visibly shaking and having difficulty speaking. She reported that Frazier arrived home intoxicated, threatened her life, ripped an interior door off its hinges, and kicked holes in the walls. When the alleged victim attempted to record the behavior on her cell phone, Frazier forced her way into a bedroom and bit the victim’s right pointer finger while trying to wrest the device away. The deputy observed a bruised, bleeding puncture mark on the victim’s finger.
The victim managed to escape to her car outside, but Frazier followed her, opened the driver’s side door, and repeatedly kicked and pulled at it in an attempt to rip it off. Frazier then forcibly took the phone during a physical altercation before the alleged victim drove away to seek help. Deputies noted a significant dent on the car door near the hinges that prevented it from opening or closing properly, estimating the vehicle damage at $3,500.
Deputies at the Lewiston residence saw Frazier pacing inside before the house lights were turned off. Investigators knocked on the door and called her phone without success. Deputies opted for a cautious approach due to Frazier’s history of fighting law enforcement and possessing a firearm. Shortly after, officers observed Frazier stepping into a vehicle outside and placed her under arrest without force.
Deputies documented an additional $1,500 in property damage inside the home, including two holes in the wall, the unhinged door, and the missing cell phone, bringing total estimated damages across the incident to $5,000.
During Monday’s video arraignment, Cache County Deputy Attorney Aaron Jossie requested Frazier be held without bail, noting she is already facing two other felony cases for unrelated incidents.
Judge Spencer Walsh ordered Frazier to remain in jail and appear Sept. 30 on all three cases.
Individuals arrested and charged in complaints are presumed innocent unless or until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in court.
