Lawana Lucille Hill passed away peacefully surrounded by family on January 8, 2024, in Soda Springs, Idaho.
Lawana was born on August 13, 1931, in Wellington, UT to Lewis J. Thomas and Hortense Lucille Skinner. She was the eldest of three children, Lawana, Gail, and Brent.
Lawana, or LEE, as she was most often called, was a lover of camping, fishing (especially on a lake where she could just sit and wait for the fish to bite), huckleberry picking and hunting with family.
Avid reader, as was evidenced by the stacks of books on her shelves. Part of her morning routine was to spend an hour doing crossword puzzles to keep her brain sharp. Spent many hours of her time crocheting and beading works of art for her family and friends.
Lawana was preceded in death by her husband, Bill; her daughter Celia Rae; and son Lewis Lynn.
She is survived by her sons, Thomas Mansfield and William Hill.
She was blessed with 8 grandchildren, many great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
The family plans to hold a “remembrance” sometime this coming spring when the weather is more agreeable.
