April 3, 1948 – November 2, 2022 (age 74)

Janice Marie Sullivan Jones, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend passed away November 2, 2022 after a valiant and courageous battle with metastatic uterine cancer.

Janice was born on April 3, 1948 in Lynwood California to LeRoy (Roy) Edward and Doris Emma Moulton Sullivan. She was the fourth and youngest child in the family with one older brother (Richard) and two older sisters (Beverly and Carol). Janice spent her younger years in California and graduated from Bell Gardens High School in 1966. She moved to Providence, Utah in 1981. Since then, she has lived in Providence, Roy, Farr West and Bountiful Utah. She was a hard-working mom and raised 3 wonderful children. She was an office manager for many years at Weather Shield Manufacturing in Hyrum, Utah and MDSI in Ogden.

Janice enjoyed traveling and learning about new places. She enjoyed many trips with family and friends on cruises to Mexico, Caribbean, and Europe. She especially loved the water, swimming and just being outside in the sunshine.

Janice was talented and shared her talents with others. She made the world beautiful with her talents whether that was do-it-yourself projects around her home, gardening, scrapbooking, making homemade greeting cards, knitting, sewing, or crocheting. She always had a project, and many were blessed by her talents. If she didn’t know how to do something she would learn and give it a try.

Her greatest joy was her family and spending time with them. She delighted in all their accomplishments! Janice is survived by her 3 children: Bruce (Suzanne) Jones, Lannette (Shawn) Sperry, and David Jones; 5 grandchildren (Kevin, Mark & Kriselle Jones and Traeger (Alyssa) & Taylor Sperry) and 3 great-grandchildren (Corbin, Asher & Liam Sperry). She is also survived by her brother Richard (Bobbi) Sullivan, and Beverly (Bob) Rouelle as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents (Roy & Doris Sullivan) and sister (Carol Feckler).

A Funeral Mass will be held at noon on Saturday November 12, 2022 at St. Jerome Newman Center 795 N. 800 E. Logan, Utah.

Although cancer was a disappointment to her, she did not complain. She pushed herself and fought hard through trials, surgeries, and treatments these past 5 years. She said, “It’s been a good life” and looked for the positive aspects. She continued walking and building strength to overcome the obstacles in front of her. She beat the odds and lasted more than 5 years with the disease. Janice would like others to beat the odds even more and request in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the Huntsman Cancer Institute: https://healthcare.utah.edu/huntsmancancerinstitute/foundation/ways-to-give/

We would also like to express our thanks to the wonderful doctors and caregivers who helped us along this journey.
