Dirty Dough in Logan
LOGAN – Hundreds of free cookies will be handed out Friday night at the grand opening of Logan’s newest desert destination, Dirty Dough. Franchise owner Whitney Beckstead says her staff at the bakery has been ramping up production to officially introduce their unique brand of cookies to Cache Valley. And they want it to be a family-friendly event.

“From 6-10 p.m. we’re doing free cookies for anyone who comes,” Beckstead exclaims. “We’ll hand out a free chocolate chip cookie to everyone. And then from 6-8 p.m. we’ll have a radio DJ here, we’ll have a face painter and a balloon artist. So, all of our festivities will be tonight from 6-10.”
Beckstead and her family live in Lehi but own the Logan franchise at 339 North Main, and have been blown away by the early response.
“We were looking at lots of different locations and we were, for some reason, just drawn to it,” she explains. “We were like, ‘we want Logan.’ Everyone thought we were crazy because it’s so far away from our house. But, I don’t know, there was something about it and we said ‘we’re doing Logan.’ And I feel like it has been so well received. Everybody has been so great and we’ve had one of the best soft openings for a Utah store so far.”
Beckstead explains that all Dirty Dough cookies include some combination of layers, mix-ins, or filling, which makes them delicious and unique. She says the cookies can also be used in ice cream and milk shakes at the bakery. Dirty Dough typically has six cookie varieties on the menu at any time with two that rotate out on Fridays. The bakery even has a gluten free chocolate chip cookie coming soon.
Bakery hours are 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Friday and on Saturdays they are open from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. There are currently 23 stores open across the United States (12 in Utah alone) with 59 more announced to be opening soon.
