LOGAN — As many of those who live here realize, Cache Valley and nearby destinations offer a lot to do and explore. But many do not know there is an app you can download to assist your excursions.
On KVNU’s For the People program last week, Julie Hollist-Terrell of the Cache Valley Visitor’s Bureau talked about how this app came about.
“We were actually approached by a man who was starting a company and he had some ties here. He said ‘I would love to start out by doing an app for you guys and do just your visitor’s guide.’ So that people can experience all the different things there are to do here in Cache Valley, and we can just download it from the app store. So we just worked on that together and it’s been brilliant, it’s been so helpful and the people who use it, it’s easy to use and it just gives you all the options you can think of at your fingertips,” she explained.
Living here, people sometimes forget about the great destinations here locally or just a short drive away.
“It’s so true, and it’s sad. But I think we’re inclined as just people to take for granted what we have right around us, and this is a great year to take a vacation in your own backyard when you see the prices of gas, and you recognize that other people travel from all over to come to Cache Valley because of the great things we offer here. Why don’t you be one of them?”
Hollist-Terrell said if you want to you can even stay in a local hotel for your stay-cation.
