January 27, 1927 ~ December 17, 2020 (age 93)

Our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Fay Robbins Christensen, passed away on December 15, 2020, surrounded by her family.

She was born in Burley, Idaho on January 27, 1927, to Arnold and Thelma Robbins, and was the oldest of their two children. The family moved to Perry, Utah when she was 6.

It was there she met Wallace “Wally” Peter Christensen, who would later become her eternal companion. They were married on July 19, 1946 and sealed in the Logan Temple on January 30, 1947. They had six children together.

Fay had a tireless work ethic. She raised several kinds of fruit but took special pride in her peaches. She also raised a large garden alongside her children. She spent many hours cooking, canning, and sewing to support and care for her family. She was a devoted wife to Wally for the 67 years they shared on this earth and cared for him through many illnesses. She also worked at Brigham Realty for over 25 years.

Fay was a devout member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and was called to many service and leadership positions throughout her life. She and Wally also served two, six-month missions: one to Oakland, California, and the other to McAllen, Texas.

Her family has fond memories of her potato salad at Peach Days, Christmas steamed pudding and fruitcake, and the way she hummed or sang as she worked. She possessed a strong will that carried her and her family through the hard times as well as the good. She loved crossword puzzles, musicals, plays, and traveling.

Fay is survived by five of her children: Phil (Tana) Christensen; Jan (Sharon) Christensen; Kim (Pam) Christensen; Robyn (Jeffrey) Call; and Chad (Diane) Christensen; as well as her daughter-in-law Terry Ann Christensen, nineteen grandchildren, and twenty-nine great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister Dorothy Reese, and son Gary Christensen.

Special thanks to Hidden Valley Assisted Living, Atlas Hospice and Dr. Jeffrey Call for their loving care of Fay.
