HYDE PARK – The Cache Democratic Party has announced that its 2nd annual Harry Reid Dinner is slated for Wednesday, Sept. 23.
The annual fundraiser will take place from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Mt. Naomi Farms & Vineyard in Hyde Park.
The guest speaker for the Harry Reid Dinner will be state Rep. John Arthur (D-Salt Lake City).
A career educator, Arthur joined the Legislature in 2025 and is now seeking to re-election to his seat.
His experience includes working as a teacher, adjunct professor in the Graduate School of Education at Westminster University, the director of candidate recruitment for the Utah National Board Coalition and the co-director of Teacher Fellows, a non-profit group.
Arthur was the 2021 Utah Teacher of the Year, a finalist for National Teacher of the Year and a member of the Board of Directors for the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards.
He holds a bachelor degree in English and literature from the University of Utah and graduate degrees from Westminster University.
The Cache Democrats’ annual fundraiser was named in honor of the late Sen. Harry Reid starting in 2025.
Harry Mason Reid, Jr. was an American lawyer and politician who served as a U.S. senator from Nevada for three decades. He led the Senate Democratic Caucus from 2005 to 2017 and was the Senate majority leader from 2007 to 2015.
The Democratic dinner will be catered by the Beehive Grill. Tickets for the event will be $100 each and organizers expect that the gathering will sell out.
