LOGAN – An isolated diesel fuel spill was contained to the Central Utility Plant at Logan Regional Hospital Wednesday afternoon.

Intermountain Health spokesperson Erin Goff said for a few hours the hot water at Logan Regional was turned off. She said because there was enough residual hot water in the system, hospital operations were not impacted.

Apparently one contractor was exposed to the fuel spill but did not require treatment.

Logan City Fire Department and environmental services personnel responded to the scene for support and contained the fuel spill to one building.
