DiAnn Beckstead Bodily passed away on Friday, July 29th 2022. She was born on May 8th 1942 to Elmo Gordon and Elda Long Beckstead. She was born and raised in Preston, Idaho. She met the love of her life Larin H. Bodily while he was working on her father’s farm. They were married on June 16th 1961. They remained in Preston where they raised their 3 children.
DiAnn exemplified selflessness throughout her life and made quick friends with her tender heart and sweet spirit. She loved singing; especially with her sister and at home. She played violin and piano. Her favorite calling was playing piano and leading music for the Primary. Her life’s focus was being a homemaker, mother and grandmother. She loved her nieces and nephews; family was extremely important to her. She loved being surrounded by children and her kitties. She was a wonderful seamstress; her favorite hobby was making Barbie clothes with tiny buttons and zippers and adding all the bling. She spent many hours in the fields as a child and continued a garden at home alongside her mother. She put passion and care into the many jobs she worked which included A&W, keeping books for her uncle Curley’s Service Station, Maughan’s Construction, Wangsgard, Pepperidge Farm and Walmart. She made lifelong friends at any job she worked and brought a kind spirit into her work.
She is survived by her husband, their 3 children, Coleen (Clair) Geary, Larin Clay (Cari) Bodily, Curtis Orlando (Stephanie) Bodily; Grandchildren; Bryan, Ashley (Pace), Melissa (Julian), Bracken, Brooke Ann (JD), Sophia, Brielle, Kallan, Kaiden, Karson, Keltsie; 9 Great-Grandchildren; Sister JoAnn Kofoed; Brother Gordon (Maraleen) Beckstead; Sisters-in-law Linda Beckstead, Luann (Darrell) Seamons, Linda Carter, Gail Alder; Brother-in-Law Maurice Bodily.
She is proceeded in death by her parents, a Brother Danny Beckstead, and brothers-in-law John Kofoed and Paul Carter.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 5th, 2022 at noon at the Webb funeral Home 1005 S 88 E, Preston, Idaho.
Viewings will be held on Thursday, August 4th from 6-7 PM and again prior to the service on Friday from 10:30-11:30 AM at Webb Funeral Home.
Interment will be in the Preston, Idaho Cemetery.
