LOGAN — Cache County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating the deaths of two people late Wednesday night in Hyrum. First responders were called to the residence at 110 Wapiti Loop on report of two gunshot victims.
Cache County Sheriff Chad Jensen said a 37-year-old woman was found deceased in a bedroom with a gunshot wound. A 38-year-old man was found deceased in another part of the house.
Investigators learned that the victims were married at the time of the incident and the shooting was discovered by the couple’s 16-year-old daughter. Both parties were pronounced deceased at the scene.
Cache County Victims’ advocates were called to help the 16-year old and assist with family notification.
The shooting appears to be an isolated incident.
Jensen said deputies are investigating a possible motive and will release more information when their investigation is complete. There is no indication this incident poses a risk to the public.
