LOGAN — A two-vehicle crash in Logan Canyon, US-89, killed two individuals and sent two others to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. The accident was reported at 3:20 p.m. Wednesday, a mile east of Beaver Creek Lodge.
According to emergency radio communications, the crash involved an SUV and a car. Several 911 callers reported multiple victims lying in the roadway.
An ambulance at Beaver Mountain was able to quickly arrive on the scene.
Paramedics confirmed two individuals died from injuries in the crash. Two others had life threatening injuries, one critical and the other serious. An infant was also in one of the vehicles but did not sustain any serious injuries.
Utah Highway Patrol troopers closed a section of Logan Canyon, from Beaver Mountain to Garden City, while emergency crews treated the injured and investigated the crash.
