SALT LAKE CITY — The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is hosting a worldwide press conference, including the announcement of its new First Presidency on Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2025, at 1 p.m.
The announcement will be broadcast live from Temple Square in Salt Lake City, where church leaders will share messages about the reorganization of the Church’s senior governing body. The First Presidency is composed of the Church President, who members sustain as a prophet, and his two counselors, who are called from the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles.
The live event will be streamed on the Church’s website and social media channels. It will be broadcast locally on News Talk KVNU 102.1FM/610AM, KVNUtalk.com and the KVNU mobile app.
