LOGAN – Traditionally caregivers can find support through various means, including respite care, training programs, and resources offered by organizations like Logan’s Sunshine Terrace.
The Caregiver 101 Workshop from Sunshine Terrace, to be led by Dennis Wildman, LCSW, is scheduled for the first four Mondays in June. It is open to all from 3:30-5 PM on those days.
Being a family caregiver is rewarding but challenging work. Finding the tools to equip yourself to provide the best care is possible.
This four week workshop provides education and resources on advanced directives, managing behaviors, understanding disease processes, communication techniques and hands-on training in safe physical care.
It will be a safe place for those desiring to learn and discuss the stresses, challenges and rewards of providing care to a loved one.
The cost is $40 for the four sessions.
