LOGAN – The Cache Valley Center for the Arts has unveiled its 2025-26 National Touring Season to be presented at the Ellen Eccles Theatre here.
That line-up was announced by Gavin Syme, the CacheARTS marketing director, during a live broadcast of “For The People” on KNVU radio on May 8.
“This season will bring the magic of Broadway back to Cache Valley once again with the Tony-Award-winning phenomenon Hadestown,” Syme explained.
During its 2023-24 touring season, the Ellen Eccles Theatre presented touring versions of the Broadway shows Chicago and Come From Away.
“The Legendary voice of public radio, Garrison Keillor, will also display his signature wit, warmth and storytelling charm on our stage this season,” Syme added.
“Rounding out this extraordinary season is the electrifying rhythms of STOMP, the internationally acclaimed percussion sensation that has dazzled audiences around the globe.”
The theater’s touring show season will kick off early this year with So Good: The Neil Diamond Experience on Saturday, Aug. 2. Starring Broadway and TV favorite Robert Neary, this tribute to singer Neil Diamond will combine storytelling, quotes and behind-the-scenes insight with spot-on vocals.
Just two days later (Monday, Aug. 4), the Ellen Eccles Theatre will present Garrison Keillor at 84, with tales from the noted PBS raconteur’s fictional Lake Wobegon, musical jokes and reflections on life’s quieter pleasures.
Hailing from Canada, the Wailin’ Jennys will take to the Eccles stage on Thursday, Sept. 11. What started as a one-time-only gathering of solo singers/songwriters in their native Manitoba has grown into an internationally acclaimed folk trio.
On Monday, Sept. 29, the Red Hot Chili Pipers will introduce “bagrock” – a fiery fusion of traditional Scottish bagpipes and rock anthems — to its audience here Cache Valley. The nine-piece ensemble will blend high-energy covers of Queen, Coldplay and AC/DC with unforgettable Celtic classics.
As a lead-in to Halloween, Frankenstein: A Living Comic Book is slated to appear on Thursday, Oct. 23. In a bold re-imagining of the sci-fi/horror classic, Dr. Frankenstein’s journal is the key to truly horrifying modern themes like climate change, artificial intelligence and tech obsession in an immersive, family-friendly comic book style.
On Wednesday, Nov. 12, the Emmy Award-winning actor Richard Thomas will appear on the Eccles stage in Mark Twain Tonight, reprising the legendary one-man show originated by Hal Holbrook. As the only actor authorized to carry on this celebrated theatrical tradition, Thomas promises to deliver an evening full of Twain’s sharp humor and timeless insights.
Closing out 2025, the high-energy, award-wining celebration of percussion STOMP will appear in a two-night stand on Tuesday, Dec. 2 and Wednesday, Dec. 3. The eight-member troupe’s inventive use of everyday objects – brooms, garbage cans, matchboxes and you-name-it – to create a pulse-pounding performance full of humor, creativity and raw energy.
The New Year will see the return of the Choir of Man to Logan on Wednesday, Jan. 7. Last seen on the Eccles stage in 2022, this ultimate feel-good show combines pop, rock and Broadway music into a raucous pub-crawl. Get ready to raise a glass of root beef and enjoy the show.
A vibrant celebration of culture and athleticism, the Peking Acrobats are next up on the touring season schedule, performing on Saturday, Feb. 7. Now in their fourth decade of touring, the mesmerizing troupe will amaze a Cache Valley audience with breathtaking feats of balance, agility and strength.
Finally, the International Guitar Night, the world’s premier acoustic guitar showcase, is slated on Wednesday, March 4. Uniting innovative guitar artists from around the world, this dynamic celebration of music will blend styles and cultures in a one-of-a-kind concert experience highlighting that instrument’s incredible versatility.
Most performance times throughout the year at the Ellen Eccles Theatre are at 7:30 p.m.
