NORTH LOGAN — The Cache County School District has announced the names, mascots, and colors for its newest schools — and opened an early enrollment period for the 2026–27 school year.
The new middle school in Hyde Park will be known as Juniper Ridge Middle School, home of the Foxes, with colors of blue, gray, and white. In Nibley, Maple View Middle School will represent the Hawks, with school colors of blue and gray. A new elementary school is also under construction in Hyde Park.
District officials said school names, colors, and mascots were selected through community surveys and reviewed by a naming committee before being approved by the Board of Education.
The district also announced that early applications for its 2026–27 Open Enrollment and School Choice Program are now available online at ccsdut.org/enrollment/school-choice. The early application window opened on Oct. 18 and remains open until Dec. 12, 2025.
The earlier dates are intended to help the district plan for new school boundaries and capacity ahead of the three school openings in fall 2026.
Families interested in applying for a school outside their assigned boundary are encouraged to apply during this early window. According to the district’s Open Enrollment Capacity Report, early enrollment has already closed for Cedar Ridge and Spring Creek Elementary Schools, while North Cache Middle School and Ridgeline High School are both above the early open enrollment threshold.
Questions about the Open Enrollment and School Choice program can be directed through the CCSD website.
