LOGAN – The Christmas and New Year’s holidays are still ahead, but the Cache County Republican Party is already looking forward to the upcoming General Session of the Utah Legislature in 2025.

With that in mind, the Cache GOP has slated a House Majority Caucus Town Hall for local residents to meet with their representatives in the Utah House, learn about legislative priorities for 2025 and share their thoughts about upcoming issues.

That gathering is slated for Thursday, Jan. 16 at 6 p.m. in the David B. Haight Alumni Center on the campus of Utah State University.

The featured speakers at the town hall will include Utah lawmakers Tom Peterson, Mike Petersen, Casey Snider and Jason Thompson.

Mike Peterson represents the northeast corner of Cache County and Box Elder County. Veteran lawmakers Mike Petersen and Casey Snider were re-elected in November. Thompson is looking forward to his first experience in the Utah Legislature, replacing long-time representative Dan Johnson.

The 45-day General Session of the Utah Legislature is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, Jan. 21 and continue until Monday, March 7.

The David B. Haight Alumni Center is located at 555 Champ Drive on the USU campus in Logan.
