October 25, 1982 ~ December 22, 2023 (age 41)

It is with a twinkle in our eyes and a chuckle in our hearts that we remember Jacob “Jake” Gerald Cook, the man who could transform any bland day into an adventure. Born in Willard, UT, on October 25, 1982, Jake was an adventurous soul whose charisma was as infectious as his love for video games. His creative streak was only matched by his love for family and his knack for turning a simple hike into an epic quest worthy of a video game plot. As Mark Twain once said, “The secret of getting ahead is getting started,” and Jake sure knew how to get things started.

Jake was a resident of Logan, Utah and though he never tied the knot or held a conventional job, he was married to his passions and employed by his own sense of wonder. His enthusiasm for electronics would often find him knee-deep in circuit boards and tangled wires, earning him the nickname “Techno-Wizard” among his friends. He was a loving son to his father, Andrew Cook, and a cherished brother to William 3. His nephew, Shad Shepherd, will forever remember those summer afternoons spent with his fun-loving uncle. Jake was preceded in death by his mother, Deborah Davis, and his brother, Adam Cook, who we like to imagine are now welcoming him with open arms and a fresh batch of cookies.

In his honor, let’s remember to live adventurously, love unconditionally, and laugh wholeheartedly, just as Jake did. We encourage friends and family to share their favorite “Jake Tales” and upload photos to his memorial page. After all, a life as colorful as Jake’s deserves to be celebrated in all its vibrant hues. https://my.gather.app/remember/jacob-cook

Condolences and memories may be shared with the family at Myers Mortuary.
