May 25, 1961 – April 18, 2023 (age 61)
Randall Lawrence Weeks passed away at the age of 61 after a courageous medical battle. Randy was the oldest of 3 children born to Gary Lynn Weeks and JoAnn Janice Weeks in Bountiful, Utah and raised in Walnut Creek, California. He resided in Contra Costa County since 1968 and made his home in Concord, California.
Randy graduated from Northgate High School in Walnut Creek, California in 1979. He graduated from Diablo Valley College in Pleasant Hill, California in 1984 with a degree in Business. Randy worked in Real Estate for over 25 years. He was accomplished in every phase of remodeling construction of residential homes. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends anytime, anywhere. He was incredibly dedicated and proud of his nephews, always cherishing special family times spent together. Randy was very dedicated to his family, and was an exceptional brother, uncle and supportive friend to all.
Randy had a cheerful presence and witty sense of humor; he loved to laugh and was full of life. Throughout his life he continually gained knowledge to share facts and passionate thoughts with others. He spent his days filled with music in the background, most often singing happily and carefree to classic rock tunes and was an avid collector of all music. Rock on Randy! He was intrigued by Astronomy and the beauty of the night sky. Randy was an enthusiastic San Jose Sharks Fan, he rarely missed a game. He enjoyed spending time in Lake Tahoe and on the Northern California Coast. His most treasured trip was his adventure to Oregon to view the Northern Lights.
Randy is survived by his sister, Julie Anne Weeks of Concord, California; and his nephews Nicholas Christopher Weeks and Jonathon Gary Weeks of Concord, California. He was preceded in death by his father, Gary Lynn Weeks and his mother JoAnn Janice Weeks of Walnut Creek, California; and his brother Todd Allen Weeks of Walnut Creek, California. Randy will be deeply missed by his family and remain in our hearts forever.
Randy lived his life to the fullest and as most knew on his own terms, Randy loved life! He would wish for all of his family and friends to live life to the fullest capacity and remember him with fondest thoughts of living the same way. Remember Randy with cherished memories of good times and by showing kindness to family, friends and animals in need as he did throughout his lifetime. Randy will join his family members resting peacefully surrounded by a beautiful, serene setting in Northern Utah where he may rest internally in peace. May the beautiful night sky and stars always shine brightly on his wonderful soul.
A private family visitation will be held at noon on Wednesday, June 7, 2023, followed by a graveside service at the Smithfield Cemetery in Utah.
