David Ross Boehme, beloved son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, and mentor, passed away peacefully on May 29, 2023, in Caliente, Nevada. Born on October 3, 1939, in Geneva, Idaho, to Bertha Lindsay Parker and David George Boehme. After Bertha passed at an early age, David was raised by his step-mother, Glenna Parker.

David’s siblings are William (Barbara) both deceased, Alan (Geri), Stephen deceased (Odee Ann), Kenneth (Peggy), Duaine deceased (Carol), Carol Boehme deceased, Annette (Richard), Robert (Ruth), Rodney (Dorothy)

David was a devoted husband to his high school sweetheart and the love of his life, Sherry Lee Perkins. They embarked on a beautiful journey together, exchanging vows on June 22, 1960, in the Idaho Falls Temple. Their deep love and unwavering commitment were an inspiration to all who knew them, and they were eagerly anticipating celebrating their 63rd wedding anniversary.

As a dedicated father, David poured his heart into raising his children and instilling in them the values of love, compassion, and hard work. Bonnie Cook (Robert), Lori Barker (Casey), Wayne Boehme (Mariela), and Don Boehme (Michele) were blessed to call him their father.

David grew up farming and supported his family as a skilled drywaller / carpenter in the construction industry. He approached every task with diligence and precision, earning a reputation for his expertise and dedication. David’s mentoring spirit touched the lives of many, as he generously shared his knowledge and experience with those around him.

David was not only a man of practical skills; he was also a storyteller and guitarist. He had a unique ability to transport people through his words and music, leaving a lasting impression on all who had the pleasure of listening.

Among his many passions, David was an avid angler who could always be found by the water’s edge, rod in hand, patiently waiting for the perfect catch. His expertise and enthusiasm for fishing were contagious, and he passed down this love for the sport to all who knew him.

David has a strong faith in religion he served in various callings including a Temple Worker and Bishop for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Las Vegas, Nevada. His selfless dedication to his church and community left an indelible mark on the lives of those he served.

David’s legacy extends beyond his immediate family, as he leaves behind 42 grandchildren, 49 great-grandchildren, and 10 great-great-grandchildren. His love, wisdom, and gentle spirit will forever be cherished by his extensive family tree.

David Ross Boehme will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His love for life, his family, and his unwavering faith to serve is an inspiration to us all. As we mourn his loss, we also celebrate the remarkable man he was and the legacy he leaves behind.

A memorial service to honor and remember David’s life will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints church at 1065 Main St, Panaca, Nevada at 11am on June 10, 2023.
