LOGAN — On a crisp, Saturday September morning about 1,400 cyclists rolled out of Cache Valley bound for Jackson Hole, Wyoming. The one-day bike tour has been happening for more than four decades now. 

On Sept. 7, cyclists from around the nation met to race more than 200 miles in the 42nd annual LoToJa Classic than spans from Logan, Utah, to Jackson Hole Mountain Resort in Wyoming.

Danny Van Wagoner, 32, was the 2024 overall winner with a time of 8 hours 50 minutes 24 seconds. Adrian Rips, 30, finished second with a time of 8 hours 50 minues 30 seconds. Coming in third place, Eric Ellis, 41, finished a second later with 8 hours 50 minutes 31 seconds.

The challenging one-day road bike race tests athletes endurance and mental stamina with three mountain passes and 35 miles of climbing and nearly 10,000 vertical feet of incline.
