LOGAN —  Little Lambs Foundation for Kids does amazing work for low-income families in our area, also families facing specific challenges or transitioning from other communities and more.

Everything from providing simple hygiene kits and busy kits for children who are hospitalized or suffering from a traumatic event to offering diaper drives and baby supply drives.

That’s what is going on this month – the Share the Love Diaper Drive with the help of Anderson Seed and Garden.

On KVNU’s For the People program on Tuesday, Little Lambs executive director Ted Chalfant was our guest and talked about the organization’s start.

“From our inception in 2014, our initial goal was, we were going to help 40 to 50 kids in foster care here in Cache County. We said if we can do this and help 40 – 50 kids, that would be a total success, we had no idea that it would grow into what it is today.”

He said it has grown and grown each year. They are hosting their annual fundraiser this coming June and they are reaching out to area restaurants to help.

“Absolutely, if there’s a restaurant that has not participated, this will be our 7th year of hosting our Taste of Summer fundraising dinner and charity auction. What we do each year is we have 15 to 20 restaurants that participate, and what they do is they provide a sample of what makes them special.”

Chalfant said they are also looking for corporate sponsors.

Through the end of this month, they are holding their Share the Love Diaper Drive with the assistance of Anderson Seed & Garden.
