NIBLEY — Monday will see another need for detours for your work day commute. Crews will be closing 3200 South between U.S. 89-91 and 1200 West in Nibley.

The closure will go from 7 a.m on Monday, the 18th to Monday, September 25th. The closure will allow crews to connect the newly-constructed section of roadway to the existing 3200 South.

Local access for residents who live east of the new road will be maintained via 1200 West. Local access for residents and businesses west of the new road will be maintained via U.S. 89-91.

The final project will consist of the intersection being realigned and actually move north a little bit with traffic signals and more of a 90 degree configuration with 89-91. The 3200 South intersection has been a very dangerous one for years with increasing traffic.

During this coming weeks’ closure motorists are asked not to drive through the Hard Closure area. Please use marked detours and remember to drive carefully when traveling through construction areas and pay attention to all traffic signs, stakes, barrels, the workers and equipment operating within the work zones.
