BRIGHAM CITY — The Utah Judiciary is inviting residents of Box Elder, Cache and Rich counties to a public town hall Monday evening aimed at demystifying the court system and increasing access to justice.

The free event, part of a statewide initiative called Court Connect, will take place from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the 1st District Courthouse, 43 N. Main St. in Brigham City.

Court Connect is designed to build stronger connections between the courts and the communities they serve. Organizers say the initiative focuses on strengthening public trust, explaining how the judicial branch fits into the broader system of government, and making residents aware of available resources.

Attendees will have the opportunity to meet judges and court personnel in an informal setting rather than a courtroom. Participants can ask questions directly to judiciary representatives and learn how to navigate justice services, including online filing systems and self-help resources.

Judiciary officials described the Brigham City town hall as the first step in an ongoing effort to engage directly with individual community members, civic organizations and community partners across the state.
