BRIGHAM CITY — Utah troopers say a 34-year-old Tremonton man has died after his car crashed in northern Utah on Christmas Eve.

The Utah Highway Patrol says Ruon Meas was traveling north on Interstate 15 in Brigham City around 5 p.m. when he lost control of his SUV.

The car rolled at least four times across the freeway before tumbling off the right shoulder, down an embankment and into a field.

Meas was the only one in the vehicle. He was taken to a hospital where he died.

Troopers say Meas was wearing a seatbelt and there’s no sign he was impaired or distracted.

UHP Lt. Lee Perry told The Standard-Examiner that Meas’ wife and children were following him in another car and witnessed the crash.
