LOGAN — A single vehicle crash Thursday afternoon injured one woman and shut down a stretch of US-89/91 in south Logan. The crash was reported around 1:10 p.m. near Poulsen Trailers.

Logan City Police Chief Gary Jensen said a Cache Valley woman was driving a Honda Pilot northbound near 2900 South.

The SUV drifted off the side of the road and clipped a power pole. It then rolled and crashed into a fence.

Jensen said the woman had non-life-threatening injuries. She was treated by paramedics and transferred to Logan Regional Hospital.

The damaged utility pole dropped power lines across both lanes of the highway.

Electricity was also knocked out to the neighboring area.

Both northbound and southbound traffic along US-89/91 was detoured for more than an hour while crews cleared the crash.

Jensen said police are investigating the cause of the crash and why the driver drifted off the highway.
