Roy Edwin McCormick passed away on January 6, 2023 in Tremonton, Utah at age 95. He was born January 31, 1927 in Fillmore, Utah to Charles Edward McCormick and Myrtle Mary Nelson.
Roy married Wanda King McCormick on June 11, 1959 and honeymooned in San Diego.
Roy lived in Thatcher, Brigham City, and Eureka Utah. He attended Eureka High School.
Roy worked as a farmer and rancher, janitorial, sheepherder, and on the railroad. He retired from Thiokol.
Roy served in the Navy from 1944-1945.
He enjoyed raising animals, Louis L’Amour books and western movies.
Roy was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Roy is survived by his nephews, Steve Katzenberger, Mike Katzenberger, Russell Katzenberger, Gary Long, Dennis Long, Mark Long; stepson, Lewis Jones; granddaughters, Sheila Larsen, Kim Pierce, Diana Larsen; and multiple grandkids.
He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, stepdaughter, stepson, brothers, and sisters.
Graveside will be held on Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at 11 A.M. at the Valley View Bothwell Cemetery (11580 W 11200 N- Tremonton).
